Hello! I’m Elaine (Laine) OMalia.
I’ve spent more than 25 years helping businesses turn what they want to share with their customers into clear, professional marketing designed to deliver results. What began with a strong foundation in graphic design has evolved alongside the digital world into website development, SEO, email marketing, content creation, online advertising, and marketing strategy.
Today, I bring those skills together through Laine Designs to help small businesses build a stronger digital presence and make all the pieces of their marketing work together.
As a small business owner myself, I understand how many hats you wear. Marketing matters, but so do serving your customers, managing projects, following up with leads, handling finances, networking, and running your business. It’s easy for your website, Google presence, email marketing, social media, and other tools to become disconnected or get pushed to the bottom of the list.
That’s where I come in.
I look at the bigger picture
Sometimes a client comes to me thinking they need a new website, when what they really need is clearer messaging and better SEO. Another may need help connecting their website, Google Business Profile, email marketing, analytics, or lead follow-up systems. My goal is to identify what will make the biggest difference and create a practical plan to move forward.
I combine creative design with technical skills and marketing strategy, but I also believe strongly in making technology understandable. I want my clients to know what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how it supports their business.
Most importantly, I enjoy building long-term relationships with the people behind the businesses I serve. I’m not interested in quick fixes or marketing for marketing’s sake. I want to help you build a professional, connected foundation that makes your business easier to find, understand, and choose.
A Little About Me
Ventura has been home since 1982, when I moved here from the San Fernando Valley. It’s where I raised my two children, Marty and Christine, built my business, and became part of a community that means a great deal to me.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me power walking, practicing yoga, enjoying art, volunteering for causes I care about, or spending time with family and friends. Living in such a beautiful part of California brings joy and balance to my everyday life.
That same appreciation carries into my work. I genuinely enjoy getting to know the people behind the businesses I serve, their stories, their challenges, and what they hope to accomplish. Being trusted with someone’s business is a privilege, and many of my client relationships have grown into long-term partnerships.
For me, Laine Designs has always been about more than marketing. It’s about helping good businesses become easier to find, understand, and choose and helping the people behind them feel confident about how they show up in the world.
